Week/End

#flowers

It was a good one, this week.

For starters, I got back to blogging after ages, so that felt really nice. I’d been waiting so eagerly for Empress Themes to launch, and after having bought and used their themes, I can wholeheartedly say that the wait was worth it. I love how the blog is looking these days – sometimes I think I miss the sidebar, but then I remind myself that I have hardly ever used it before! I still have a little more tidying up to do… but it sure feels good to be sharing here and connecting again.

My favourite thing from last week was probably the 101 in 1001 list that I put up. I had so much fun thinking of all those things and putting them on the list. And I am sure I’ll have even more fun as I go about completing them!

I also spent some time this week trying to decide what outfits to wear for my cousin’s wedding next month. I still have to finalise a few details, but I think I know what direction I am headed towards. I am so excited for the wedding – I’m going to be meeting a lot of my cousins and relatives after ages, so I sure am looking forward to it!

I was having a discussion with my trainer about my diet, and how I want to change things up a bit, and the word “keto” got thrown around a bit. I’m scared, but I’ve seen it work wonders for my sister-in-law and some other friends too. Anyway, my trainer’s said he’ll come up with something… so let’s see.

The weekend has been fairly low-key – an amazing workout session with my trainer, some blog work and a bit of meal prepping for the week ahead. AT also got back home late last night after a week long business trip, so that’s nice. We’ll probably watch a movie today and just chill for the rest of the day. Sounds pretty good to me. :)

How was your week? And how is your weekend going? Whatever you’re up to, I hope it’s a good one, and filled with lots of excitement and/or lots of rest & relaxation!

I’ve got a few good links from around the internet, in case you’re in the mood for some Sunday reading.

I loved, loved reading about Viktoria’s shopping dilemma when it comes to ethical fashion. I face a lot of the same issues that she talks about – especially about the aesthetics of most ethical/slow fashion brands being way more different than what my “style” is and also the significantly higher price points. Of course it does not mean that I do not have scope to improve (hell, I think nearly 90% of my regular wear is from Zara & H&M, so I definitely have a long way to go), but it’s not an easy path… that’s all I am saying.

I loved this post showcasing women in workwear from varied fields and backgrounds.

Wondering (more like, day dreaming) if I can swing a quick trip to New York to visit this gorgeous store in person!!!

How delicious and comforting does this soup look!!!

This meatball recipe sounds super yum, and I think I am going to give this a shot soon (subbing the beef & pork with chicken).

On Grace’s recommendation I started reading this book, and I’ll be honest, I tore through it last night.

I’d love to give this body spray a try for even better sleep.

A different way to see the Victoria Falls in Zambia (!!!). Would you ever do this?

This post is inspiring me to pull out my jade roller.

I want all the plants in my bathroom.

If you’re looking for more female artists to listen to, step right this way.

This blouse is so not me, but jeez, it’s a beauty! (via Katie Armour)

Mistakes that you don’t wanna be making on Twitter.

Cannot wait for Season 2 of The Crown (how amazing is Claire Foy in the show!!!).

Also, Season 2 of Big Little Lies is a go!

Spoken for every introvert, ever.
